The before-
Problem: The contractor installed a sink that takes up over two thirds of the space in this powder room leaving guests to fumble clumsily in an already tight space where clumsy fumbling might result in some seriously unsightly consequences.
Solution: Install a bar sink in a floating (read, legless) console to open up the tiny room and guard against any uhm, humbling flumblings. *Tip*: Bar sinks are often available in much smaller sizes than traditional bathroom sinks and in a powder bath still provide plenty of room for good hand washing. See my sketch overlaid on top of the original photograph of the room. Ready for the fun part?
Here are my finishes!
Here are two more great space saving solutions that I can (literally) get behind!
The image immediately above is the bathroom at Cielo at The Boca Beach Club. Joined by both my boyfriend and my best friend, we all 3 had a super yummy meal there last week and skillfully managed to keep our bill to a level that received a nonverbal applause from our waiter, or at least that what we prefer to think.
That's all for today folks! Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Holy mother of god, Claire effing watkins. You just blew my mind and may have saved my hips from a ton of bruises. Our "master" bathroom is about the size of a shoebox. We recently ripped it down to the studs but have struggled to find a space saving solution. This just might be the answer! Bravo.
great design claire. you do what do very well. i know your clients love you for it, too!
