Hi there! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. I turned in 3 different concepts on Friday, including this one for a 2 story living room. 2 story living rooms can be a challenge as the goal is to create an intimate feeling in a very open space. Here's my tips for doing just that.
1. Think Big- The breadth of wide stripes on 2 story drapes, large furniture, chunky lamps suit the scale of the big space.
2. Seating Groups -Instead of using an obvious over scale sectional, break up the space into more easy digestible seating groups for a more elegant, multi purpose look. Consider using 2 area rugs as I did here.

one of my pet peeves is when people put whispey little furniture pieces in a sweeping space. If you have all that beautiful open space, USE IT!! Great tips!
