For the last two weeks, I have been in Italy with my mom and sister-in-law. After a few days in Florence, we headed down to the coastal town of Positano, where we spent a week in cooking school. Have you ever been to Positano? Until just a few months ago, I had not even heard of the vertical village set against the deep blue Mediterranean sea. Made up of colorful sandstone cottages stacked like building blocks into the rocky cliffs of the Italian coast, the beauty of Positano defies my imagination. I don't know about y'all, but there are some times in my life when I don't know how I got so lucky. As I write this post, we are wrapping up what could only be described as heaven with a few days in Rome. Two weeks, though, is a long time to be gone. As I organize my purple suitcase to hop a plane back to Atlanta tomorrow, I'm anxious to return to my two stinky dogs, an enormous pile of laundry and most of all the rest of a life that I have the pleasure of claiming as my own.
Inspired.
More later.

Hey Claire I'm going to tuscany in July. I'll be in Florence a few days.
What did you see and do in Florence? Anything I shouldn't miss?
thanks welcome home sara
I'm glad to know you had a good trip but I'm not sure it is possible to visit Florence, Positano, and Rome and and not have a great trip. I couldn't help but notice in your third photo that the Mediterranean was deep blue and shiny. See you soon.
Best wishes for continued good things... saw your tweet, now in vegas?
Hey Claire ~ that trip looked amazing. Italy is my truly my dream vacation. Surely one day I'll get there!
Uhh, cooking school in Italy? That is heavenly!! Can't wait to hear about it -- we need to get together for lunch soon!
