Hey there! I'm sure y'all are all familiar with the modernist painter, Jackson Pollock. A few months ago, I went to see the Jackson Pollock exhibit here at The High Museum with my good friend, Caroline Inge and her boyfriend, Will. Always a fan of Pollock's work from images in books, I was not at all surprised to see how striking his paintings are when viewed large scale and in person. So armed with a bunch of leftover paint samples, a 4' x 8' board and an empty space above my sofa, I did a little backyard performance art. As it turns out, standing outside in the sunshine slinging paint towards a board propped up against the backside of a fence is a pretty enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. Plus, I love how much personality the painting adds to my room.
If you aren't already, be sure to check out Caroline's blog, Between Your Ears. Caroline is a great writer and her blog is full of beautiful recipes and images.

lookin' good claire!!!~ it does look like a fun way to spend an afternoon - you just need to add a glass of lemonade haha :)
So impressed with how it's coming along! Miss you! Capella
Pollock in blue has now been done. May need a bigger TV for balance.
And maybe a blue collar on the pup.
I totally need to do this! Some wine...a canvas...the possibilities are endless!
