Love Is Blind

Cascades of curtains look nice, but pulling them shut can drive a gal nuts.  A rocking roman shade filters light alright, but draw one taut and the outside view becomes blocked.  A wonderful woven functions fine, but "opened" and "closed" are the only options it shows.  Wood blinds come to mind and what's even better than their chic tailored tape?  Each one oscillates.
Just rotate, their wand...
Thanks for humoring me.  It is really important to think about how a window treatment functions and not just looks.  Recently,  I put wood blinds throughout a client's entire home (image bottom right).  The family wanted privacy and the ability to control the amount of light inside their home.  They also wanted full views of the outdoors (me, too)!  Blinds offer versatility other window treatments cannot provide.  High quality solid wood blinds look super stylish on their own, but also allow for the addition of a curtain.  At which point, I may or may not think of some more rhymes.
I hope everyone is having a fabulous Monday and enjoyed their Halloween, I know I did!
